Firefox Update
by Moodle Admin - Friday, December 9, 2011, 08:33 AM

Hi All,

If you experience difficulty (buttons not working, etc.) while in Moodle and you use Firefox (which is recommended), please check to make sure that you are running the most recent stable release. Firefox has moved to a more frequent release cycle and does not support any old versions once an update is released.

To check your version select:
(PC) Help > About Firefox
(Mac) Firefox > About Firefox

This will tell you if your browser is up-to-date or if there is an update available. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Happy Moodling!

Drag and Drop
by Moodle Admin - Thursday, November 10, 2011, 12:20 PM
  Hi All,

I hope this message finds you well. I have just enabled drag and drop for Moodle courses! When you turn editing on you will see a row of icons that look like:
drag and drop cross-hair
The first "cross-hair" icon will allow you to drag and drop the item where you wish. To do so:
  • Click and hold on the cross-hair icon
  • Drag to where you want to drop the resource (As you do so, you will see faint gray lines appear indicating the placement of the drop)
  • Once the item is where you want, let go
Presto! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Embedding entire websites in Moodle
by Moodle Admin - Tuesday, October 4, 2011, 02:12 PM

Hi All,

I came across this post in Moodle News and thought it deserves some attention. The post describes how you can embed entire websites inside of your Moodle courses. Pretty cool!

To read the article and see a demo click here.

Happy Moodling!
